Nomad II™ Rolling Dry-Erase Panels

Description

The Nomad II Rolling Dry-Erase Panel is designed to meet the changing requirements of today’s collaborative work environment. The Nomad II is designed as both a moveable partition and dry-erase wall. The dry-erase panels can be joined to create larger work surfaces and partitions to separate and support working teams. The asymmetric leg design allows the panels to create seamless lengths of angled walls.

The Nomad II was also designed to allow the end user to create the ideal system for their needs. Our experience has shown us that weight is a key design parameter. Some users want a lightweight system, while others want mass and solidity. The Nomad II comes in three models to address these different needs; the Nomad II, Nomad II Lite, and Nomad II Executive.

The Nomad II also allows the user to choose from a variety of work surfaces to meet their specific needs. Available work surfaces include dry-erase laminate, magnetic dry-erase laminate, and porcelain on steel.

The Nomad II Lite provides a 3’ x 5’ work area and is designed to minimize shipping weight. Components are sized so the panel fits within FedEx shipping constraints. This system is ideal for those that take their system on the road.

The Nomad II Executive provides a 3.5’ x 5’ work area and is designed for permanent environment applications. The photographs on this sheet are of the Nomad II Executive.

The Nomad II is the balance between the Lite and Executive models, not too heavy for frequent deployments yet substantial enough to be part of a permanent environment.

The Nomad II trim is constructed from a cabinet-grade Baltic Birch laminate. Other hardwood trims are available upon request.

Shipping Containers

The shipping containers are optimized on the shipping of three rolling units. The key to the success of the containers is the material used for the sides. Typical shipping boxes are constructed from plywood with ABS laminated to the outside. While strong these boxes are to heavy to fit with the shipping restrictions. The Nomad shipping system uses ABS laminated to a polypropylene honeycomb to create a strong, dent resistant shipping box that is lightweight. The inside of the boxes are lined with a closed-cell foam to complete the protection of the Nomad II elements. The shipping system includes:

  1. the panel box. This box contains 3 dry-erase panels. Thinner panels can be used to increase the number of panels, however there is an upper limit defined by the shipping weight.
  2. the chassis/standard/short trim box. Three chassis, three short trim and up to 9 standards are shipped in this box. There is also space for accessories such as marker trays and dry-erase markers.
  3. the long trim box. This box can contain up to 9 long trim pieces.
